Basically he is a selfish broken idiot who thinks he is infallable. He actually called me in the middle of the night looking to absolve his guilt--though he claims to have done nothing wrong. He's made some decisions that are actually about to make his life worse, probably more depressed. I have plenty of issues of my own buy I suppose that you could now say that at least he isn't one of them. Posted via LiveJournal.app.

Went to the opera last night--a lot of nuns got the guillotine, have been unproductive today, will spend the evening cleaning and packing, getting up early to head to NOLA in the morning. Wondering how long I can drive with the top down on the interstate on a hot sunny day before getting completely fried...
Will spend weekend eating, drinking, shopping, decompressing and hopefully not crying too much on my friend's shoulder.

Erin's post reminded me that over the weekend I saw Stranded: I've Come from a Plane that Crashed on the Mountains, which is a documentary about the Uruguayan rugby teams whose plane crashed in the Andes in 1972. You know the one, where they had to eat the dead.
It was really fantastic--the whole movie is entirely told by the survivors from interviews they gave a couple of years on a trip back to the crash site with some of their children. There are segments of actors reenacting things, but the only things spoken through the whole film are by the survivors, some of their family, a search plane pilot, and the farmers who were the first people that the guys who left the crash found--at least until the end when they showed news footage of the rescue and a press coverage and all. The old news footage and photos were really fascinating.
I highly recommend it.

I had a dream last night with a guest appearance by Michelle Duggar and a couple of the Duggar daughters though I couldn't tell you which ones. The dream was way too crazy to be able to explain out on the little iPhone keyboard here, but the presence of the Duggars should tell you that it was ca-razy.

So I discovered this morning, upon leaving the therapist's office, that the front license plate on my car is missing. I'm pretty sure it, and the plastic holder that attaches it to the car, popped off in the parking garage. I park in some compact car spaces that have cables running in front to prevent you from driving off the edge of the concrete. One of the lines of cables is at just the right height to sit just under or on top of the plate holder I guess. Previously I'd had the plate holder pop off of one of the bolts that holds it on, but I never figured that it might pull the whole thing off.
So I called the state capitol area DPS and spoke to their lost and found people. So far no one has turned in a license plate. I might stay here a little late today and then drive around that section of the garage where I normally park and see if I can find it.

my morning:
-the font on my computer is suddenly all really big.
-my supervisor came over to my cube to tell me that all of yesterday's mail was for me. i looked at the table of mountainous projects behind me and just started laughing and COULD NOT stop. it's like i've lost my mind.
-the work laughter continues when it comes out that what i've been calling the party trip to Galveston week after next is becoming an even bigger party--we calculated that our agency will be spending about $5000 that week for 10 people to possibly do a heck of a lot of nothing.
-tomorrow my sister and i are taking the poos to Enchanted Rock! i'm still sore from yoga on wednesday and i'll be more sore tomorrow from walking up a giant rock.
-i ate super well yesterday--quail for lunch at this great little place in san antonio and then a really lovely waldorf salad for dinner at this place near my house that i finally tried.
I believe that is 5, so Kari should be happy.
